How do technology and new media influence the way we listen to and create music today?
The Music and STEM – Urania 2026 project takes place at Urania – the Space of Creation in Zagreb, a renowned venue for interdisciplinary and innovative artistic practices.
At the second event in the Music and STEM series, the Synchronos Ensemble presents a programme exploring the intersection of contemporary music, technology, and new sonic possibilities, reaffirming Urania as a meeting place for different fields of knowledge, creativity, and contemporary artistic practice.
The programme features works by Georg Hajdu, Stanko Juzbašić, Boris Jakopović, Tibor Szirovicza, and Danijel Legina.
In collaboration with the Munich-based ensemble Ultima Rara, the concert will feature four world premieres.
The programme is conceived as a platform that, through lectures, discussions, and concerts, brings audiences closer to the processes behind the creation of contemporary music and demonstrates how scientific principles and technological innovations shape contemporary artistic expression.
Join us for an evening dedicated to contemporary music and the exploration of new sonic worlds!
