Urania – Space of Creation becomes a meeting place of classical tradition and contemporary interpretations in the upcoming Creative Hour dedicated to musical artistry. On Thursday, April 24, at 7:00 PM, two distinguished guitarists, Edin Karamazov and Melita Ivković, will present a program that blends refined stylistic analysis with technical brilliance, offering the audience a concert experience where the acoustic expressiveness of the guitar reaches its artistic peak.
The repertoire includes works by Joseph Haydn, Sergei Prokofiev, and Johann Sebastian Bach, arranged for two guitars by Edin Karamazov. Through meticulously crafted interpretations, this musical dialogue between two outstanding guitarists explores the boundaries of guitar expression—from the elegance of Classicism and subtle Baroque counterpoint to the expressive modernity of the 20th century.

Edin Karamazov, one of today's most original and esteemed guitarists and lutenists, is renowned for his interpretative precision and unique approach to repertoire. His performances are distinguished by deep musical analysis, an exploratory spirit, and technical superiority. Karamazov has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls and collaborated with top musicians such as Sting, Andreas Scholl, and Dorothee Oberlinger. His extensive discography reflects his artistic curiosity and commitment to pushing the boundaries of interpretation.
Melita Ivković, a musician whose career spans over three decades of concert performances across four continents, numerous recordings, teaching, and directing international festivals, brings together virtuosity with a profound understanding of stylistic characteristics. As a member of the Zagreb Guitar Quartet and the Dina e Mel project, she further confirms her dedication to expanding the boundaries of guitar literature.
