Urania – Space of Creation kicks off the new year with an essential topic for architectural practice. Copyrights in architecture are crucial for protecting intellectual property while ensuring a balance between innovation and the preservation of cultural heritage. The first lecture of the year, Copyrights in Architecture, will take place on Wednesday, January 15th, at 2:30 PM, featuring experts in intellectual property law and architecture who will discuss pressing issues shaping this specialised legal field.

Our speakers will include:

  • Dr. Romana Matanovac Vučković, an expert in copyright and intellectual property law, who will share her profound understanding of the legislative frameworks governing copyrights in Croatia and the EU.
  • Gorana Aralica Martinović, an intellectual property rights specialist, who will offer insights into the practical aspects of protecting architectural works and the challenges architects face in everyday practice.
  • A representative from the State Intellectual Property Office, who will discuss administrative procedures, registration, and the application of rights in architecture.
