Festival of literature: FEMINISM IS FOR ALL

8th - 11th March 2020

The festival FEMINISM IS FOR ALL, held from March 8th to March 11th, 2020, will in four days try to offer insights into the ideas and directions of contemporary feminism and highlight the importance of feminist knowledge and experience in the fight for a more free and just society, as well as in the fight against the abolition and restriction of women's, workers' and minority rights.

There are six panels/roundtables within the festival: four panels or roundtables attended by several authors and two 'Disclosure' panels (a talk between one author and one moderator).

The incentive to hold the festival is the publication of nine books shortly before its beginning, in the edition of Fraktura:

  • one book each on the theory and history of feminism - Sara Ahmed, Kulturna politika emocija, i Zsófia Lóránd, Feministički izazov socijalističkoj državi u Jugoslaviji,
  • one book from the pioneer of feminism in our region - Slavenka Drakulić, Smrtni grijesi feminizma (extended edition),
  • and six books of essays by editors and authors of Muf, addressing a variety of feminist issues – Asja Bakić, Dođi, sjest ću ti na lice, Maša Grdešić, Zamke pristojnosti, Lea Horvat, Nepraktični savjeti za kuću i okućnicu, Barbara Pleić Tomić, Mama kuha ručak, tata čita novine, Lana Pukanić, Tinejdžerke i drugi monstrumi, i Jasna Jasna Žmak, One stvari.
