The film program Queer Momenti during Pride Month marks the first days of summer with a film screening at Urania - space of creation (Trg Eugena Kvaternika 3/3) on Wednesday 23rd June.
Cocoon (Kokon) is a coming of age film and an honest portrayal of girlhood set on the summer streets of Berlin.
Germany / 2020 / Feature, 99 min
In the multicultural microcosm of her Berlin neighbourhood, 14-year-old Nora is going through many first times. She gets her first period, smokes marijuana, reveals her love for other girls, and meets wild Romy. With her, the noisy area of Kreuzberg suddenly seems infinitely large and full of hidden beauties. While the summer heat sticks to her skin, Nora gives her heart to Romy and learns to take care of herself.

"An impressionistic, fragmented look at Reinaldo Arenas, Before Night Falls' imagery manages to evoke a sense of the writer's artistry, and Bardem's strong performance holds the film together. Finally, a biopic done well."
