HOERSPIEL: a small play for listening (and watching), is appreciated by the audience and critics as a "theatrical story about the mystery and romance of the early days of radio". It is written by playwright and director Pavlica Bajsić Brazzoduro in which 10 actors, musicians, radio authors, and sound engineers have been performing for 7 years, and is coming to Urania - space of creation for the first time.
This performance, along with a small exhibition of books and albums, is dedicated to the deceased member of the radio ensemble, journalist, musician, radio author, and friend Ante Perković, and all proceeds are intended for humanitarian purposes.
HOERSPIEL: a small game for listening (and watching) is a play that talks about the very beginnings of radio, about a time when then very popular radio dramas went live from the studios, with actors, musicians, and masters to reconstruct the necessary noises and atmospheres. Astonished and sometimes suspicious, the audience gathered around the radio that evening, that wireless mystery, as it used to be around the fireplace, listening with their ears and creating a whole new world in their heads. Apart from being a unique theatrical story about radio itself, “little people inside a radio box”, HOERSPIEL in an unusual way evokes the spirit of Zagreb in the time between the two world wars, but also later.
